(A) International & Foreign Standards

ASTM A790/A790M: For duplex stainless steel plates, sheets, and strips.

Requires chemical composition control, mechanical property testing, and corrosion resistance tests (intergranular corrosion per ASTM A262 Method E and pitting potential per ASTM G48).

ASTM A890/A890M: For cast duplex stainless steel (e.g., pump bodies, valves), adding non-destructive testing (RT) and impact toughness tests.

ISO 11346: Specifies chemical composition (e.g., Cr 24.0–26.0%, Ni 4.5–6.5%) and mechanical properties, referencing ASTM grading.

ISO 15156-3: For corrosion-resistant alloys in oil & gas, requiring SCC testing in H₂S environments (e.g., NACE TM0177).

EN 10216-5: For stainless steel tubes in pressure equipment, corresponding to grade 1.4477 (X2CrNiMoN22-5-3), including high-temperature mechanical property tests (e.g., yield strength at 300°C).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(B) Chinese National Standards

GB/T 21832-2008: For duplex stainless steel plates, corresponding to domestic grade 022Cr23Ni5Mo3N.

Specifies chemical composition (Cr 22.0–23.0%, Ni 4.5–6.5%, Mo 2.5–3.5%, N 0.08–0.15%), mechanical properties, and surface quality (no cracks or scabs).

GB/T 24511-2017: For stainless steel plates in pressure equipment, adding pressure tests (e.g., hydrostatic testing) and intergranular corrosion tests (GB/T 4334 Method E).

JB/T 4741-2002: For stainless steel forgings in pressure vessels, including ultrasonic testing (UT) and low-temperature impact tests (impact energy ≥ 27J at -40°C).
