It exhibits extremely high resistance to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion, which are common forms of corrosion that can occur in many alloys, especially in austenitic stainless steels. It also shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing solutions, seawater corrosion, and can resist various corrosive substances such as acids (including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and acetic acid), and oxidizing agents1.
