253MA is a high-strength, high-toughness austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel (also known as UNS S30815 or DIN 1.4835). I. Toughness Characteristics of 253MA Steel

Room-temperature toughness: It has good impact toughness at room temperature. Even after cold working or welding, it can still maintain high ductility and is not prone to brittle fracture, making it suitable for structural parts that need to bear certain impact loads.

High-temperature toughness: The core advantage lies in high-temperature toughness. In high-temperature environments of 800~1100℃, its impact toughness and fracture toughness can still remain stable, far superior to ordinary heat-resistant steels (such as 304, 316), and it can resist the risk of brittleness caused by thermal shock and cyclic loads at high temperatures.

Anti-embrittlement ability: Due to the addition of rare earth elements such as cerium (Ce) in its composition and strict control of carbon and nitrogen contents, 253MA can effectively inhibit grain coarsening and the precipitation of harmful phases (such as σ phase) at high temperatures, reducing embrittlement after long-term use and ensuring the durability of toughness.
