In terms of chemical composition, SNCM240 is a complex alloy consisting of several key elements. It contains a notable amount of nickel (Ni), typically ranging from approximately 1.65% to 2.00%. Nickel imparts excellent toughness, ductility, and resistance to corrosion and stress cracking. This makes SNCM240 highly reliable and durable in a wide range of operating conditions. The alloy also has chromium (Cr) content, usually around 0.40% to 0.60%. Chromium enhances the hardness, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance of the steel, ensuring its suitability for applications where these properties are crucial. Additionally, SNCM240 includes a moderate amount of molybdenum (Mo), typically in the range of 0.15% to 0.30%.
