Tool Manufacturing: Chromium-containing high-speed steel and cemented carbide are commonly used materials for tool manufacturing. For example, in W18Cr4V high-speed steel, the carbides formed by chromium and carbon are dispersedly distributed in the tool matrix, which improves the hardness and wear resistance of the tool, enabling it to maintain a sharp cutting edge during the cutting process and is suitable for high-speed cutting.

Mold Manufacturing: In the manufacturing of injection molds, die-casting molds, etc., chromium-containing mold steel can improve the hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of the molds. For example, Cr12MoV mold steel can obtain good mechanical properties and surface quality through heat treatment processes such as quenching and tempering, thus extending the service life of the molds.
