The tensile strength of HC220Y steel is 220-280MPa, the yield strength is ≥ 220MPa, and the elongation at fracture is ≥ 36%.
HC220Y steel is mainly used in the automotive, aviation, and electrical industries, as well as in cold rolling and deep drawing applications. It can be in a hot-rolled or cold-rolled state.
HC220Y steel has good forming performance, high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance. Its disadvantage is its relatively high price. The most common forms are cold-rolled steel plates, hot-rolled steel plates, and galvanized steel plates.
In terms of international comparison, HC220Y in China is equivalent to DR250/450Y in Q/BQB 420-2009, HSLAS 250-410 in ASTM A1008 in the US, and SPFC 340/390Y in JIS G 3141 in Japan.
