1.0972 steel is EN 10149-2.

 

Chemical composition:

- Carbon (C): 0.12%

- Silicon (Si): 0.5%

- Manganese (Mn): 1.4%

- Phosphorus (P): 0.03%

- Sulfur (S): 0.03%

- Aluminum (Al): 0.015%

 

Mechanical properties:

- Yield strength (min): 355 MPa

- Tensile strength (min): 440-550 MPa

- Elongation (min): 19-24%

 

Uses:

1.0972 steel is generally used to manufacture lightweight structural steel plates and steel strips, such as automotive parts, gas cylinders, etc.

 

Status:

In general, 1.0972 steel is sold in coil form.
