CCSA B D E Marine Steel Plate

CCSA, B, D, and E are different grades of marine steel plates.

 

CCSA Marine Steel Plate:

 

Chemical composition: It has a controlled carbon content (usually ≤0.21%), along with specific amounts of manganese (≥2.5C), silicon (≤0.5%), sulfur (≤0.035%), and phosphorus (≤0.035%).

Mechanical properties: It has a yield strength of not less than 235 MPa, a tensile strength in the range of 400 - 520 MPa, and an elongation of not less than 22%.

Characteristics and applications: CCSA steel plate has good overall performance. It is suitable for general parts of ship hull structures in ocean-going, coastal, and inland navigation areas, such as the hull shells and decks of small ships.

 

CCSB Marine Steel Plate:

 

Chemical composition: Similar to CCSA but with specific limits on carbon (≤0.21%), silicon (≤0.35%), manganese (0.80 - 1.20%, and the lower limit of manganese can be 0.60% when doing impact tests), sulfur (≤0.035%), and phosphorus (≤0.035%).

Mechanical properties: With a yield strength of at least 22 MPa, tensile strength of 400 - 520 MPa, and elongation of not less than 22% at a test temperature of 0°C.

Characteristics and applications: Compared to CCSA, it has slightly lower strength and toughness. It is commonly used in ship parts with lower strength requirements, such as internal structures and non-major load-bearing areas.

CCSD Marine Steel Plate:

 

Chemical composition: With carbon (≤0.21%), manganese (≥0.60%), silicon (≤0.35%), sulfur (≤0.035%), and phosphorus (≤0.035%).

Mechanical properties: Yield strength not less than 235 MPa, tensile strength in the range of 400 - 520 MPa, and elongation not less than 22%.

Characteristics and applications: It has a certain improvement in strength and toughness. It is suitable for ship structures that require higher steel performance, such as the hull shells and main decks of large ships, capable of withstanding larger loads and stresses.

 

CCSE Marine Steel Plate:

 

Chemical composition: Having carbon (≤0.18%), manganese (≥0.70%), silicon (≤0.35%), sulfur (≤0.035%), and phosphorus (≤0.035%).

Mechanical properties: Yield strength not less than 235 MPa, tensile strength in the range of 400 - 520 MPa, and elongation not less than 22%.

Characteristics and applications: It has high strength and good toughness. It is used for key ship structures with higher steel performance requirements, such as the bow, stern, and cargo tank areas of large oil tankers, able to adapt to harsh marine environments and complex load conditions.
