Chemical Composition:

 

DH36: Its chemical composition includes elements such as carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), sulfur (S), and phosphorus (P). The carbon content is controlled at a relatively low level to ensure the toughness and welding performance of the steel plate. The specific element content may vary slightly depending on different manufacturers and standard requirements, but overall, it is to obtain good comprehensive performance.

EH36: In the chemical composition, the carbon content generally does not exceed 0.21%, the silicon content does not exceed 0.55%, the manganese content is about 1.7%, and the contents of sulfur and phosphorus are controlled at a relatively low level. In addition, some alloying elements such as aluminum (Al), niobium (Nb), vanadium (V), and titanium (Ti) are added. The addition of these elements can improve the strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance of the steel plate.
Mechanical Properties:

DH36: The yield strength is not less than 355 MPa, the tensile strength is between 490-630 MPa, and the elongation is not less than 21%. It has good plasticity and toughness and can maintain stable performance in extreme working environments. It can still maintain good toughness at an impact temperature of -20°C.

EH36: The yield strength is above 355 MPa, the tensile strength is between 490-620 MPa, and the elongation after fracture is ≥21%. In a low-temperature environment, such as -40°C, its impact absorption energy can also reach a relatively high level. It has good low-temperature toughness and is suitable for ships and marine engineering structures used in cold sea areas or low-temperature environments.
