The performance of DNV Marine Steel Plate Grade DH36 is as follows:

Chemical Composition: In addition to carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), other elements include: copper (Cu) content ≤ 0.35%, nickel (Ni) content ≤ 0.40%, molybdenum (Mo) content ≤ 0.08%, chromium (Cr) content ≤ 0.20%, niobium (Nb) content is between 0.02 - 0.05%, vanadium (V) content is between 0.05 - 0.10%, titanium (Ti) content ≤ 0.02%, and aluminum (Alt) content ≥ 0.015%. The addition and control of these trace elements play a certain regulatory role in the performance of steel. For example, elements such as niobium and vanadium can refine grains and improve the strength and toughness of steel.

Mechanical Properties: In addition to tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, there is also impact toughness:
For steel plates with a thickness of 8mm - 50mm, the minimum longitudinal impact energy is 34J;
For steel plates with a thickness of 51mm - 70mm, the minimum longitudinal impact energy is 41J;
For steel plates with a thickness of 71mm - 100mm, the minimum longitudinal impact energy is 50J. Good impact toughness makes the steel less likely to fracture at low temperatures or when subjected to impact loads, and is suitable for harsh working conditions such as marine environments.

Processing Performance:

Welding Performance: DH36 steel plate has good welding performance and can be welded by various welding methods such as arc welding and gas shielded welding. However, during the welding process, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling welding parameters to avoid welding defects and affecting the quality of welded joints.

Cutting Performance: After the steel plate passes the factory inspection and all performance indicators meet the requirements, it can be cut and processed and laid out according to drawings. Generally, when the steel plate thickness is not greater than 20mm, numerical control plasma cutting or numerical control laser cutting is preferred. If the steel plate thickness is greater than 30mm, numerical control flame cutting is usually selected.

Forming Performance: This steel grade has good forming performance and can be processed into various shapes of parts and structural members through processing methods such as rolling and stamping to meet the design requirements of ship and marine engineering structures.
