Welding Performance

The welding performance of KR F63 steel is an important consideration in its application. Due to the presence of certain alloy elements, appropriate welding methods and welding materials need to be selected during welding. For example, when using manual arc welding, electrodes with a composition similar to that of the base metal should be selected to ensure that the strength and toughness of the welded joint are equivalent to those of the base metal.

During the welding process, attention should be paid to controlling welding parameters such as welding current, voltage, and welding speed. Inappropriate welding parameters may lead to defects in the welded joint, such as pores and cracks. At the same time, due to its high strength, relatively high residual stress may be generated in the heat-affected zone after welding, and appropriate post-welding heat treatment is required to eliminate the stress and improve the quality of the welded joint.

Processing Performance

In cold working, due to its relatively high strength, cold forming may pose a certain difficulty.
