The mechanical properties of 1050 aluminum are relatively low, with a yield strength of 45 MPa, a tensile strength of 65 MPa, and an elongation of 25%. Due to its excellent processability, corrosion resistance, and strength to weight ratio, 1050 aluminum is widely used in the manufacturing of aluminum foil, containers, decorative items, building materials, electronic components, and automotive parts.
The common temper conditions of 1050 aluminum include O, H14, H16, H18, H22, H24, H26, H28, etc., where O represents the annealed (soft) condition and H represents a hardened condition. Hardened conditions can be achieved through processing or cold working to enhance the material's mechanical properties.
