Products Description
The process performance of 15CrMo alloy structural steel plate is excellent, and it can adapt to various processing methods. The specific performance is as follows:
I. Welding Performance
Overall Performance: It has good weldability. However, due to the presence of alloying elements such as chromium and molybdenum in the steel, attention should be paid to controlling process parameters during welding to avoid defects like cracks.
Welding Characteristics:
Generally, preheating is required before welding, with the preheating temperature usually ranging from 200℃ to 300℃. The specific temperature needs to be adjusted according to the thickness of the steel plate and the welding method, aiming to reduce welding stress and prevent cold cracks.
During welding, a stable electric arc and appropriate heat input should be maintained to avoid overheating, which may lead to coarse grains and affect the performance of the welded joint.
After welding, high-temperature tempering should be performed, with the temperature generally ranging from 650℃ to 720℃, to eliminate welding residual stress and improve the toughness and plasticity of the joint.
Various welding methods can be adopted, such as shielded metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, and gas metal arc welding. Commonly used welding materials are low-hydrogen electrodes (such as R307) or corresponding welding wires.

II. Forging Performance
Heating Temperature: The initial forging temperature is generally 1150℃-1200℃, and the final forging temperature is not lower than 850℃. Within this temperature range, the steel has good plasticity and low deformation resistance, making it easy for forging processing.
Forging Characteristics: During forging, severe deformation at low temperatures should be avoided to prevent cracks. Slow cooling after forging can reduce internal stress and prevent cracks. Forging can refine grains and improve the structure and performance of the steel.
