The cold working (plastic deformation processing at room temperature) of its plates is a crucial manufacturing step, aiming to enhance strength through work hardening or shape the material into specific forms. 1. Cold Rolling

Principle: Applying pressure to the plate through a rolling mill at room temperature to reduce its thickness, improve surface precision, and enhance strength via work hardening.

Applications:

Producing thin plates of various thicknesses (e.g., 0.1mm to several millimeters) to meet the needs of precision components.

Improving the surface finish of the plate, reducing the need for subsequent polishing processes.

Characteristics:

After cold rolling, the yield strength and tensile strength of the material increase significantly (by 30%-50%), but ductility decreases.

It is necessary to control the number of rolling passes and deformation to avoid cracking due to excessive processing.
