1.5531 Steel

 

1.5531 steel is a type of chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, with reference to the standard EN 10083-3. The specific chemical composition includes a carbon (C) content of 0.28-0.33%, a silicon (Si) content of 0.10-0.40%, a manganese (Mn) content of 0.40-0.60%, and a phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) content that does not exceed 0.035%. The chromium (Cr) content is 1.50-1.80%, while the molybdenum (Mo) content is 0.25-0.40%.

 

1.5531 steel has a tensile strength of 800-1000 MPa, a yield strength of 650-800 MPa, and a fracture elongation of ≥14%. These properties make 1.5531 steel suitable for the manufacture of high-strength mechanical parts and structural components.

 

This steel is mainly used to manufacture parts that can withstand high loads and vibration loads, such as friction linings, bearing seats, transmission shafts, screws, and piston rods.
