1.7034 steel is a low-alloy steel commonly specified under the EN 10083-3 standard. Its specific chemical composition includes:

- Carbon (C): 0.30-0.37%

- Silicon (Si): maximum 0.40%

- Manganese (Mn): 0.60-0.90%

- Phosphorus (P): maximum 0.025%

- Sulfur (S): maximum 0.035%

- Chromium (Cr): 1.30-1.70%

 

The tensile strength of 1.7034 steel is 1000-1200 MPa, yield strength is around 800 MPa, and elongation at fracture is above 10%.

 

This type of steel is commonly used for manufacturing high-load components such as gears, shafts, and spline shafts, especially for applications that require high hardness and strength.

 

1.7034 steel is available in hot-rolled, forged, sized, and heat-treated conditions.
