37Cr4 Alloy Flat Steel

 

34CrS₄ is an alloy steel with the standard of EN10083-3. Its chemical composition includes:

- Carbon (C): 0.30-0.37%

- Silicon (Si): maximum 0.40%

- Manganese (Mn): 0.60-0.90%

- Phosphorus (P): maximum 0.025%

- Sulfur (S): maximum 0.035%

- Chromium (Cr): 0.90-1.20%

- Boron (B): less than or equal to 0.004%.

 

The tensile strength of 34CrS₄ steel is 1000-1200 MPa, its yield strength is 800 MPa, and its elongation at break is 11-15%.

 

34CrS₄ steel is commonly used to manufacture high-strength components such as gears, bearings, and shaft shoulders. It can also be used to manufacture mechanical parts, car and motorcycle parts, among others.

 

34CrS₄ steel can be provided in a forged and quenched state.

 

The advantages of 34CrS₄ steel include high strength, good toughness and heat resistance, and a high fatigue life. It also has good corrosion resistance and cutting performance.

 

The disadvantages include its tendency to crack and lose strength at high temperatures.
