The specific chemical composition range of HCT980X steel is as follows: carbon (C) ≤ 0.15, silicon (Si) ≤ 0.80, manganese (Mn) ≤ 2.50, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.025, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.015, aluminum (Al) ≥ 0.015, chromium (Cr) ≤ 0.30, copper (Cu) ≤ 0.30, molybdenum (Mo) ≤ 0.15, nickel (Ni) ≤ 0.50, titanium (Ti) ≤ 0.15, and niobium (Nb) ≤ 0.10.

 

The tensile strength of HCT980X steel is 590-740MPa, the yield strength is greater than or equal to 980MPa, and the elongation at break is greater than 10%.

 

HCT980X steel is mainly used for structural components and parts in the automobile manufacturing industry, such as car bodies, frames, doors, hoods, and roofs. It is suitable for automotive components that require higher strength and lighter weight.

 

HCT980X steel can be produced through hot rolling, and it has high strength, excellent tensile performance, good formability and weldability, and good hot-dip galvanized coating quality.

HCT980X steel has different grades in different countries. In China, the grade of HCT980X steel is HDT780C, which is equivalent to ASTM A1008 HSLAS Grade 100 in international standards. In the United States, its grade is ASTM A1046/A1046M HSLAS-F Grade 100; in Europe, its grade is EN 10346:2015+AC:2016 HCT980X.
