DC05EK Steel Standard:

DC05EK steel is a type of low carbon steel commonly used in cold rolling processes. It is standardized as EN 10130.

 

Chemical Composition:

The chemical composition of DC05EK steel includes iron (Fe), carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), aluminum (Al), and titanium (Ti). Among them, the content of carbon (C) is 0.06%, manganese (Mn) is 0.45%, silicon (Si) is 0.025%, phosphorus (P) is 0.030%, sulfur (S) is 0.020%, aluminum (Al) is 0.015%, and titanium (Ti) is 0.020%.

 

Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, and Elongation:

The tensile strength of DC05EK steel is 270-350 MPa, the yield strength is less than or equal to 220 MPa, and the elongation at break is 38% (sampled perpendicular to the rolling direction).

 

Application:

DC05EK steel is mainly used to manufacture cold rolled steel sheets, cold rolled steel strips, automotive components, household appliances, buildings, and other products.

 

Status:

DC05EK steel is usually transported in the form of coils, including ordinary coils, transparent oil-treated coils, and sticky oil-treated coils.

 

Advantages:

DC05EK steel has good surface flatness, strong forming performance, and good cold processing performance, which is why it is often used in the production of cold rolled steel plates.

 

Disadvantages:

The toughness of DC05EK steel is poor, so it is not suitable for cold processing with high demands and working in high-temperature environments.
