QStE460TM steel is a high-strength hot-rolled steel plate that conforms to European standard EN 10149-2 and German standard SEW 092. Its specific chemical composition includes: carbon (C) ≤ 0.12%, silicon (Si) ≤ 0.50%, manganese (Mn) 1.60%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.025%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.020%, and chromium (Cr) ≤ 0.30%.
The mechanical properties of QStE460TM steel include a yield strength of 460 MPa, a tensile strength of 520-670 MPa, an elongation of 14-19%, and an impact energy of 27 J (sample tip).
This steel is mainly used to manufacture automotive structural parts with high strength and toughness requirements, such as car bodies, wheel covers, and injection molds. In addition, it can also be used to manufacture support components for construction and bridges.
QStE460TM steel is commonly found in hot-rolled and normalized states. Its advantages include high strength, good stamping performance, ductility, and weldability. Its disadvantages lie in its tendency to deform and crack, which requires careful control of processing methods during welding and cutting.
