4140 alloy steel: The chemical composition includes carbon (C) 0.33 - 0.48%, silicon (Si) 0.15 - 0.35%, manganese (Mn) 0.75 - 1.00%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.030%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.030%, chromium (Cr) 0.80 - 1.10%, and molybdenum (Mo) 0.15 - 0.25%.

Mechanical Properties

4340 alloy steel: It has high tensile strength, and after proper heat treatment, it can reach very high tensile strength, suitable for structural parts under heavy load3. It also has good toughness, which means it can withstand impact loads without easy fracture3. In addition, it has excellent fatigue resistance, suitable for components that need to bear cyclic stress3.
