Manufacturing Process

 

Steelmaking

The production starts with the melting of raw materials, including iron ore, coke, and scrap steel in a blast furnace or an electric furnace. The molten metal is then refined to adjust the chemical composition. Elements such as carbon, manganese, silicon, and others are carefully controlled. For example, the carbon content is usually kept within a specific range to ensure the desired mechanical properties.

Casting and Rolling

After steelmaking, the molten steel is cast into slabs or billets. These are then reheated and passed through a series of rollers in a rolling mill. During the rolling process, the thickness is gradually reduced to the desired 10mm.
