Watertight and Oil - tight Bulkheads: In the compartment division of a ship, watertight bulkheads are used to prevent the spread of seawater when the ship is damaged, and oil-tight bulkheads are used to prevent oil leakage. These bulkheads need high strength to bear the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the compartments.
