Cold working treatment mainly includes two methods: cold rolling and cold drawing. The following is a detailed introduction to these two cold working processes:

I. Cold rolling
Preparation work:
Select appropriate cold rolling equipment, usually including rolling mills, rolls, etc. The surface quality and dimensional accuracy of rolls have an important impact on the quality of steel after cold rolling.
Inspect DH36 shipbuilding steel to ensure that there are no obvious defects on the surface of raw materials and the dimensions meet the requirements.
Rolling process:
Send DH36 steel billets into the rolling mill and perform rolling under the extrusion of rolls at room temperature. The rotation and pressure of rolls cause plastic deformation of steel.
As the steel passes between the rolls, its thickness gradually decreases, and the width may also change to a certain extent. At the same time, the grains of steel are elongated and refined, and the dislocation density increases.
Multiple rollings can be performed. The deformation amount of each rolling is usually controlled within a certain range to avoid excessive hardening and cracking.

 

 

 

Post-treatment:
The steel after cold rolling needs surface treatment to remove possible impurities such as oxide scale and oil stains to improve surface quality.
Perform dimensional measurement and quality inspection on the cold-rolled steel to ensure its dimensional accuracy and performance meet the requirements.
