AH32 and AH36

 

Performance Characteristics:
The "A" represents the quality grade and "H" indicates high - strength. The yield strength of AH32 is not less than 315MPa, and that of AH36 is not less than 355MPa. They are similar to EH32 and EH36, with good toughness, high strength, excellent welding performance and good formability, and can withstand various external forces and loads during ship navigation.
In terms of toughness, they can effectively resist dynamic loads such as wave impacts and ship vibrations and avoid brittle fracture of the steel plates. In terms of welding performance, they are suitable for a variety of welding methods, such as manual arc welding and submerged arc welding, and the strength and toughness of the welded joints can meet the requirements of ship structures.

 

Chemical Composition:
The carbon (C) content usually does not exceed 0.18%. The silicon (Si) content is between 0.10% - 0.50%. The manganese (Mn) content is between 0.70% - 1.60%. The contents of harmful impurity elements such as sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P) are relatively low, generally not exceeding 0.04%. At the same time, there may be an appropriate amount of alloy elements such as niobium (Nb) and vanadium (V) to refine the grains and improve strength and toughness.

Chemical Composition:
