LR EH36:

 

Introduction: Also certified by the Lloyd's Register, it is a high-strength low-temperature shipbuilding plate. The "E" indicates that the steel plate has better low-temperature toughness. The meanings of "H" and "36" are similar to those of DH36.

Chemical composition (general range): Carbon (C) ≤ 0.18%, silicon (Si) ≤ 0.50%, manganese (Mn) 0.90 - 1.60%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.025%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.025%, and a certain amount of alloying elements such as copper (Cu) ≤ 0.35%, chromium (Cr) ≤ 0.20%, nickel (Ni) ≤ 0.40%, molybdenum (Mo) ≤ 0.08%, niobium (Nb) 0.02 - 0.05%, vanadium (V) 0.05 - 0.10%, titanium (Ti) ≤ 0.02%, etc. Aluminum (Als) ≥ 0.015%.

Mechanical properties: Yield strength (ReH) ≥ 355 MPa, tensile strength (Rm) 490 - 630 MPa, elongation (A%) ≥ 21. The impact energy (AKV2) is usually 24 - 50J at -40°C.

Delivery status: Hot rolling, TMCP (thermomechanical controlled processing). Normalizing, tempering, quenching, etc. can also be carried out according to needs.

Surface quality: Thin layers of scale, rust, and unobvious roughness, reticulation, scratches, and other local defects caused by pressed-in scale and rolls that do not interfere with surface inspection are allowed. However, the depth should not be greater than the negative deviation of the steel thickness and should ensure the minimum allowable thickness of the steel.

LR FH32:

 

Introduction: Certified by the Lloyd's Register, the "F" indicates a lower impact temperature. It is usually used in ships and marine engineering structures with higher requirements for low-temperature impact performance. There are four quality grades: A, D, E, and F. The impact temperature of grade F can reach -60°C.

Chemical composition: Similar to DH36 and EH36, but the specific content may vary to meet its low-temperature performance and strength requirements.

Mechanical properties: It has relatively high strength and good low-temperature toughness. Specific values can be referred to relevant standards or information provided by manufacturers.

Delivery status: Hot rolling is used as the original heat treatment state. TMCP or N-state ship plates can be provided.

Z-direction performance: The Z-direction performance grades are Z15, Z25, and Z35. For the FH32 steel plate grade, the Z-direction performance is represented by FH32Z15, FH32Z25, FH32Z35 or FH32-Z15, FH32-Z25, FH32-Z35.

Surface quality requirements: The steel plate surface should not have harmful defects such as bubbles, scars, cracks, folds, inclusions, and pressed-in scale. The steel should not have visible delamination.
