In EBSD analysis, the influence of vibration stress - relief treatment on hardness can be judged by the following grain boundary characteristics:

 

 

Grain Boundary Misorientation Distribution

 

Range of Misorientation Angles: Analyze the distribution of misorientation angles on both sides of the grain boundaries. If the number of grain boundaries with larger misorientation angles increases or their distribution range becomes wider after vibration stress - relief treatment, it indicates that the grain orientations inside the material are more diversified, and dislocations will encounter more obstacles when moving between grains with different orientations, so the hardness may increase.

Correlation between Misorientation and Hardness: Establish a quantitative relationship between misorientation and hardness. By counting the proportions of grain boundaries with different misorientations and their corresponding hardness data, fit the relevant curves or equations between them. According to this relationship, when analyzing the changes in grain boundary misorientation after vibration stress - relief treatment, the trend of hardness change can be judged more accurately.

Grain Boundary Segregation and Phase Distribution

 

Element Segregation: By combining EBSD with energy spectrum analysis and other methods, it is possible to observe whether there is element segregation at the grain boundaries. If vibration stress - relief treatment causes certain strengthening elements to segregate at the grain boundaries, forming more solid solution strengthening or precipitation strengthening phases, it will impede the movement of dislocations and increase the hardness.
