Disadvantages

 

High Equipment Requirements: High - precision rolling equipment that can accurately control parameters such as rolling temperature, rolling speed and reduction amount is needed. These equipments are usually expensive and have high maintenance costs, which increases the production cost and equipment investment.

Complex Process: It demands a relatively high technical level and experience of the operators. Because the parameters in the rolling process are inter - related, the operators need to comprehensively consider and precisely adjust the parameters according to factors such as the composition and size of the steel. Otherwise, it is easy to lead to unstable product quality. For example, improper control of the rolling temperature may cause the grains of the steel to grow, thus reducing the performance of the steel.

Limited Production Efficiency: Due to the strict parameter control required in the controlled rolling process, compared with the ordinary rolling process, the rolling speed may be limited to a certain extent, thus affecting the production efficiency.
