I. Raw material selection
Strictly select iron ore and other raw materials: In the initial stage of steel production, it is crucial to select iron ore, coke and other raw materials with appropriate silicon content. By analyzing and detecting raw materials from different sources, determine their silicon content range and give priority to selecting raw materials with stable silicon content and meeting the requirements of AH36 steel plates. For example, iron ore with low silicon content can be selected to control the input of silicon from the source.
Control the silicon content of scrap steel: In the steelmaking process, scrap steel is one of the commonly used raw materials. Therefore, strict classification and screening of scrap steel should be carried out to ensure that the silicon content of the scrap steel used is within the specified range. A scrap steel quality inspection system can be established to detect the silicon content of each batch of scrap steel to avoid the mixing of high-silicon scrap steel.

II. Steelmaking process control
Precisely control the smelting process: In the steelmaking process, by precisely controlling parameters such as smelting temperature, time and furnace atmosphere, the oxidation and reduction reactions of silicon can be effectively controlled. For example, in converter steelmaking, according to the silicon content of molten steel, the oxygen blowing intensity and time can be adjusted to promote the oxidation and removal of silicon. At the same time, reasonably control the composition and properties of slag to make it conducive to the removal of silicon.
Adopt secondary refining technology: Secondary refining is one of the important means to improve steel quality. Through secondary refining processes such as ladle refining and vacuum treatment, impurities in steel, including silicon, can be further removed. For example, in the ladle refining process, an appropriate amount of slagging agent and deoxidizer can be added to adjust the composition and temperature of molten steel and promote the combination of silicon and slag phase, thereby reducing the silicon content in steel.
Control of the continuous casting process: In the continuous casting process, maintaining a stable casting temperature and speed and avoiding secondary oxidation of molten steel helps to control the stability of silicon content.
