Composition and Manufacturing

Chemical Composition: The chemical composition of AR500 steel typically includes elements like carbon (C), manganese (Mn), chromium (Cr), and other alloying elements. The carbon content is usually in a range that provides sufficient hardness. For example, the carbon content might be around 0.28 - 0.38%. Manganese can improve the hardenability and strength of the steel, and its content could be approximately 1.2 - 1.5%. Chromium is added to enhance the corrosion resistance and wear resistance, often in a range of 0.7 - 1.0%.
