I. Core Material Characteristics

The performance of 12Cr1MoV is determined by its rational alloy composition and heat treatment structure, with the following key features:

1. Chemical Composition

Carbon (C): 0.08%-0.15%, providing a basic framework for strength.

Chromium (Cr): 0.90%-1.20%, improving oxidation resistance and high-temperature corrosion resistance, and enhancing the steel's hardenability.

Molybdenum (Mo): 0.25%-0.35%, significantly improving high-temperature strength and creep resistance, and inhibiting temper brittleness.

Vanadium (V): 0.15%-0.30%, refining grains, strengthening the matrix, and further enhancing high-temperature stability.

Silicon (Si): 0.17%-0.37%, playing a role in deoxidation and solid solution strengthening.

Manganese (Mn): 0.40%-0.70%, aiding in improving the steel's toughness and processability.

2. Process Performance

Hardenability: It has good hardenability, and uniform structure and properties can be obtained through appropriate heat treatment processes, even for thicker sections.

Weldability: Welding can be performed through methods such as arc welding, but preheating (generally 250-350°C) and post-weld heat treatment (670-720°C tempering) are required to prevent cold cracks and reduce welding residual stress.
