Marine Engineering

Must comply with NACE MR0175 standards and pass SCC testing in H₂S environments to ensure no failure in seawater or oil/gas well environments.

Chemical Equipment

When exposed to strong acids or chloride media, add crevice corrosion testing (ASTM G48 Method A) to verify corrosion resistance in crevice environments.

Pressure Vessels

Must follow ASME BPVC Section II or GB 150, with testing items including pressure tests and fatigue strength testing.

 Inspection Process and Precautions

 

Sampling Requirements: Sample from different parts of the plate (e.g., edges, center) to avoid segregation affecting results; mark the heat treatment status (e.g., solution treatment) on the sample.

Status Control: The properties of duplex stainless steel are sensitive to heat treatment; strictly control the solution temperature (e.g., 1020–1100℃) and cooling rate to ensure the duplex phase ratio.

Third-Party Certification: For critical fields (e.g., nuclear power, deep-sea engineering), commission third-party agencies (e.g., SGS, BV) for comprehensive testing and issue ISO 17025 certification reports.
