Features of ALLOY 630,17-7PH STAINLESS STEEL

17-7PH presents unstable austenitic structure after solution treatment. This kind of stainless steel features an austenitic structure under room temperature with good plastic toughness and workability. After cold working, cold treatment or heating to about 750 degrees, the austenite precipitated carbide component will change, transforming the austenitic structure into martensite. With age NMening, the second phase can be precipitated from the martensite matrix to strengthen the steel, and produce good medium temperature mechanical properties.

17-7PH features high strength, high NMness, good corrosion resistance, anti-fatigue, and workability. It is less likely to deform under high temperature. Due to the excellent steel performance, it is particularly suitable for use in aerospace industry. This special alloy is also suitable for fields that require high strength and corrosion resistance. Its spring performance remains excellent under temperature as high as 316℃.
