Here are the key anti-corrosion treatment methods for Q550D steel:

Coating Protection (Most Commonly Used)

Primer + Topcoat System

Primer: Epoxy zinc-rich primer is preferred, which forms a dense film to provide cathodic protection, enhance adhesion with the steel substrate, and resist early corrosion. The dry film thickness of the primer is generally 40-60μm.

Topcoat: Select according to the service environment. For outdoor or humid environments, polyurethane paint, acrylic paint, or chlorinated rubber paint is suitable (excellent weather resistance and water resistance); for industrial environments with more pollutants, fluorocarbon paint can be used (superior chemical resistance and durability). The total thickness of the coating system should be ≥80μm for general outdoor use, and ≥120μm for highly corrosive environments (such as coastal areas).

Special Coating for Wear-Resistant Parts
