25CrMo4 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel characterized by its well-balanced composition:
Carbon (C): 0.22–0.29%
Chromium (Cr): 0.90–1.20%
Molybdenum (Mo): 0.15–0.30%
Manganese (Mn): 0.60–0.90%
Silicon (Si): ≤0.40%
Phosphorus (P) & Sulfur (S): ≤0.035% (each)
The synergistic effect of Cr and Mo enhances hardenability, tempering resistance, and high-temperature strength.
Microstructure
In the quenched and tempered (Q&T) condition, 25CrMo4 exhibits a tempered martensitic structure, providing an optimal combination of strength and toughness. The fine-grained microstructure is achieved through controlled rolling and heat treatment processes.
