1.7003 Steel

 

1.7003 steel is an alloy steel with the standard EN 10084. Its specific chemical composition includes:

- Carbon (C): 0.28-0.34%

- Silicon (Si): maximum 0.40%

- Manganese (Mn): 0.60-0.90%

- Phosphorus (P): maximum 0.035%

- Sulfur (S): maximum 0.035%

- Chromium (Cr): 0.70-1.00%

- Boron (B): 0.002-0.005%

 

The tensile strength of 1.7003 steel is 800-1000 MPa, its yield strength is 570 MPa, and its elongation at break is 11-13%.

 

1.7003 steel is suitable for manufacturing parts that require high strength and wear resistance, such as gears and bearing rings.

 

1.7003 steel can be provided in a hot-rolled and heat-treated condition.
