1.7006 Steel

 

1.7006 steel is an alloy steel with the standard of EN 10084. Its specific chemical composition includes:

- Carbon (C): 0.26-0.34%

- Silicon (Si): maximum 0.40%

- Manganese (Mn): 0.50-0.80%

- Phosphorus (P): maximum 0.025%

- Sulfur (S): maximum 0.035%

- Chromium (Cr): 0.70-0.90%

- Molybdenum (Mo): 0.15-0.30%

 

The tensile strength of 1.7006 steel is 900-1200 MPa, its yield strength is 600 MPa, and its elongation at break is 12-18%.

 

1.7006 steel is widely used to manufacture high-hardness and wear-resistant parts, such as gears, bearings, and transmission shafts.

 

1.7006 steel can be provided in a quenched and tempered condition.

 

The advantages of 1.7006 steel include high hardness, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and good heat treatment performance.

 

Disadvantages include the possibility of deformation and cracking during heat treatment.
