1.1121 carbon steel is mainly used for manufacturing machinery parts, bearings, springs, etc. It is often in a state of cold working and can also be heat treated to increase its hardness and strength.
The advantages of 1.1121 carbon steel are high strength, good toughness, easy to process and weld, and low cost. However, its disadvantages are poor corrosion resistance and easy to rust.
The most common forms of 1.1121 carbon steel are round steel, flat steel, and bar, etc. Different countries have different grades for this material, correspondingly, the US grade is 1020, the Japanese grade is S20C, and the Chinese grade is 20.
