The tensile strength of 1.0553 steel ranges from 550 to 720 MPa, and the yield strength is 380 MPa. The fracture elongation varies under different conditions, but is required to be no less than 22% at 20°C.
Its primary application is in the manufacturing of high-strength welded structures, such as bridges, buildings, and machinery. Additionally, it can be used in the manufacturing of gas pipelines and storage tanks.
1.0553 steel can be produced and processed in the hot-rolled state. It has good machinability and weldability.
