   QStE380TM Chemical composition:

- Carbon (C) content: approximately 0.12%

- Silicon (Si) content: approximately 0.50%

- Manganese (Mn) content: approximately 1.50%

- Phosphorus (P) content: maximum 0.025%

- Sulphur (S) content: maximum 0.015%

- Niobium (Nb) and Titanium (Ti) content: maximum 0.09%

 

Mechanical properties:

- Yield strength: approximately 380 MPa

- Tensile strength: 450-590 MPa

- Elongation: approximately 18%

 

Applications:

QStE380TM steel is widely used for automotive structural components, body parts, and other cold-formed parts requiring high strength, good impact toughness, and excellent weldability.

 

Condition:

QStE380TM steel is supplied in hot-rolled form and can be locally annealed prior to cold forming to improve its formability.

 

Advantages:

1. High strength: It has good tensile and yield strength, suitable for structural components requiring high strength.

2. Good weldability: It has good weldability and can be joined using various welding methods.

3. Good impact toughness: It has higher impact toughness, capable of withstanding impact loads.

 

Disadvantages:

1. Due to its high strength, QStE380TM steel is relatively brittle, requiring stress control during design and processing to avoid cracking.
