Its chemical composition includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S), phosphorus (P), chromium (Cr), and copper (Cu). The specific composition is: C ≤ 0.12%, Si ≤ 0.5%, Mn ≤ 2.1%, S ≤ 0.03%, P ≤ 0.03%, Cr ≤ 0.3%, Cu ≤ 0.3%. The mechanical properties of QSTE550TM steel are a tensile strength Rm of 550 to 700 MPa, a yield strength Rp0.2 of 500 MPa, an elongation A80 of 12% to 16%, and an impact energy AV of ≥ 30 J. QSTE550TM steel is usually used for wheels, frames, and other mechanical structure parts. QSTE550TM steel has two states, namely, coil and plate. Its advantages are high strength, low cost, and wear resistance. Its disadvantages are poor plasticity and difficult processing. The most common forms are coil and plate. QSTE550TM is similar to China's Q550 steel internationally, and also has corresponding relationships with other steel grades in Europe, such as S550MC in the UK, E550D in France, and ASTM A656Gr.80 in the United States.
