Q: Represents the yield strength of the steel (abbreviation from "Qu" for yield strength in Chinese).

420: Indicates the minimum yield strength of the steel is 420MPa, which is higher than Q345 steel, classifying it as a high-strength steel.

A/B/C/D/E: Denote the quality grades of the steel, mainly differing in impact toughness requirements and the content of impurities such as phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S). Higher grades (with E being the highest) signify superior performance.
