Steel Plate Q275B

Introduction

Q275B is a carbon structural steel specified in the Chinese national standard GB/T 700-2006. The "Q" denotes (yield strength), "275" indicates the minimum yield strength of 275 MPa, and "B" represents the quality grade (with better impact resistance than Grade A). It offers higher strength than common low-carbon steels like Q235 but has lower ductility and weldability, making it suitable for applications requiring moderate strength.

Good formability via hot rolling or cold stamping for simple shapes, but cold working may require intermediate annealing for complex deformations.
