Mechanical Properties:

AH32: The yield strength is not less than 315 MPa, the tensile strength is between 440 and 570 MPa, the elongation is not less than 22% (for No. 5 specimen, transverse), and the impact absorption energy at 0°C is not less than 31 J (longitudinal), and the transverse impact absorption energy is not less than 22 J.

AH36: The yield strength is not less than 355 MPa, the tensile strength is between 490 and 630 MPa, the elongation after fracture is not less than 21%, and the test temperature is 0°C.

Size and Shape:

Size Precision: The size deviations of the steel plate such as thickness, width, and length need to be controlled within the specified range. For example, for common medium-thick plates, there are usually clear allowable values for thickness deviation to ensure the dimensional accuracy and assembly accuracy during the shipbuilding process.

Flatness: The flatness of the steel plate should meet the standard requirements to ensure the installation and welding quality in the ship structure.

Edge Quality: The edges of the steel plate should be cut neatly without obvious defects such as jagged edges or chipped edges to ensure the welding quality and the sealing of the ship structure.
