Hull Construction: CCS A32 steel plate is used in the construction of the ship's hull. The hull needs to withstand the hydrostatic pressure of the water, wave impacts, and the overall weight of the ship and its cargo. The strength of the A32 steel plate, with a minimum yield strength of around 315 MPa, makes it suitable for this purpose. For example, in the construction of the bottom and side plates of a cargo ship, CCS A32 steel can provide the necessary structural integrity to prevent deformation and damage during voyages.

Deck Installation: It is also used for ship decks. The decks have to bear the weight of equipment, crew, and any cargo that may be placed on them. The steel's ability to resist bending and deformation under load, along with its good ductility (elongation of around 22% after fracture), allows it to handle the dynamic and static loads that occur during normal ship operations and in rough sea conditions.

 

Offshore Structures

Oil and Gas Platforms: In the construction of offshore oil and gas platforms, CCS A32 steel plate is used for various components. The platforms are constantly exposed to harsh marine conditions including strong winds, waves, and corrosive seawater. The steel plate can be used for the construction of the platform's deck, support columns, and braces.
