CCSE Marine Steel Plate

The different steel grades of CCSE (China Classification Society for Equipments) mainly have the following differences:
I. Strength level
Ordinary strength steel: It has relatively low yield strength and tensile strength and is generally used in parts with low strength requirements, such as some secondary structures or non-critical areas. This kind of steel is relatively simple in the manufacturing process and has a lower cost.
High-strength steel: It has higher yield strength and tensile strength and can withstand greater loads and stresses. High-strength steel is often used in the main structures of ship hulls, such as the hull, deck and other parts, to reduce the weight of the ship and improve the loading capacity and navigation performance of the ship.
II. Toughness performance
Low-toughness steel: It is prone to brittle fracture in low-temperature environments and has low impact toughness. This kind of steel is usually not suitable for use in cold sea areas or low-temperature environments.
High-toughness steel: It has good impact toughness and can maintain good plasticity and toughness in low-temperature environments and is not easy to have brittle fracture.
