Products Description

Different strength ship plates have different application scenarios in shipbuilding, mainly depending on factors such as ship type, operating environment, and structural requirements. The following is an introduction to the application scenarios of common different strength ship plates:

I. Ordinary strength ship plates
Small cargo ships and fishing boats:
For some small cargo ships and fishing boats, ordinary strength ship plates such as grade A, B, and D ship plates can usually meet their structural needs. These ships are relatively small in size, and the weight of the carried cargo and the navigation environment are relatively mild.
Ordinary strength ship plates have a relatively low cost and are suitable for the construction of small ships with limited budgets. For example, in some small fishing transport ships in coastal areas, grade A ship plates are often used in non-critical parts of the hull, such as bulkheads and decks.

Inland ships:
Inland ships usually sail in relatively calm waters and are less affected by harsh environments such as waves and storms. Therefore, ordinary strength ship plates can meet the structural strength requirements of inland ships.
For example, in some inland cargo ships and passenger ships, grade B ship plates are often used on the bottom and side plates of the hull to provide sufficient strength and stability.

II. High-strength ship plates
Large cargo ships and container ships:
Large cargo ships and container ships need to bear greater cargo weight and various stresses during navigation. Therefore, high-strength ship plates such as models AH32, AH36, DH32, and DH36 are widely used in the key structural parts of these ships.
For example, high-strength ship plates are needed in parts such as the main deck, bottom keel, and side structures of the hull to ensure the structural safety of the ship under heavy loads and harsh sea conditions. The high yield strength and tensile strength of high-strength ship plates can effectively resist the bending and twisting stresses of the hull and improve the overall strength and stability of the ship.
Offshore engineering structures:
Offshore engineering structures such as offshore oil platforms and drilling ships need to bear huge marine environmental loads and working loads. Therefore, high-strength ship plates are also one of the main materials for these structures.
For example, high-strength ship plates are usually used in structural parts such as the columns, decks, and  of offshore oil platforms to ensure the safe operation of the platform in harsh marine environments. The good toughness and impact resistance of high-strength ship plates can withstand the impacts of waves, storms, and ocean currents, and improve the reliability and durability of offshore engineering structures.

III. Ultra-high strength ship plates
Special ships and high-end offshore engineering structures:
For some special ships such as warships, luxury cruise ships, and high-end offshore engineering structures such as deep-sea drilling platforms, ultra-high strength ship plates such as models EH36, EH40, FH36, and FH40 are widely used.
These ships and structures need to have higher strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance to meet their usage requirements in extreme environments. For example, warships need to have good impact resistance and bulletproof capabilities. Luxury cruise ships need to have higher comfort and safety. Deep-sea drilling platforms need to bear huge seawater pressure and complex marine environmental loads.
Strengthening of key structural parts:
In some large ships and offshore engineering structures, ultra-high strength ship plates can also be used for strengthening key structural parts. For example, in the connections of the hull, stress concentration areas, and parts prone to collisions, ultra-high strength ship plates can be used for local strengthening to improve the strength and safety of the structure.
