Chemical Composition:
Carbon (C): The carbon content is within a specific range (for example, typically around 0.19% to 0.26% depending on the plate thickness), which provides the necessary strength and hardness to the steel.
Manganese (Mn): Manganese is present in an amount up to 1.6%, contributing to the steel's toughness and strength, enabling it to withstand the heavy loads and impacts in loading machine operations.
Other Alloying Elements: It also contains alloying elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), and boron (B) in appropriate proportions. These elements enhance various properties like hardness, wear resistance, and weldability.
