Optimization of Forging Parameters
If the NV D460 steel plate needs to go through a forging process, reasonable control of forging ratio, forging temperature and forging speed and other parameters can improve its yield strength. The forging ratio is an indicator to measure the degree of metal deformation during the forging process. An appropriate increase in the forging ratio can make the internal structure of the steel more uniform and dense and refine the grains. For example, increasing the forging ratio from 3 to 5 can reduce the internal grain size of the steel plate by about 30 - 50%, thereby increasing the yield strength. The selection of forging temperature is also crucial. An appropriate forging temperature can ensure that the steel is deformed in a good plastic state, avoid cracks and other defects, and is conducive to the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement. The forging speed will affect the stress state and strain rate during the deformation process. Appropriate control of the forging speed can enable the dislocation movement and microstructure evolution inside the material to develop in a direction conducive to increasing strength.

Adjustment of Machining Parameters (such as Cutting)
When machining the NV D460 steel plate (such as cutting), reasonable cutting parameters (such as cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth) will also have a certain impact on its yield strength. Appropriate reduction of cutting speed and feed rate can reduce the heat generated during the machining process and avoid phenomena such as tempering and softening of the surface structure of the steel plate due to overheating. For example, when cutting the NV F460 steel plate, reducing the cutting speed from 100m/min to 80m/min and the feed rate from 0.2mm/r to 0.15mm/r can effectively reduce the impact of machining heat on the surface of the steel plate and maintain the original yield strength of the material. Moreover, appropriate cutting parameters can also optimize the residual stress state of the machined surface, reduce the unfavorable tensile stress and increase the favorable compressive stress, indirectly increasing the yield strength of the steel plate.
