Welding Processing

P22 steel is sensitive to cold cracking during welding due to its Cr-Mo composition; strict control of preheating, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment is critical.

Welding Method Selection

Prioritize arc welding:

GTAW (TIG): Suitable for root passes to minimize pores and slag inclusions.

SMAW (Manual Arc Welding): Flexible for complex structures.

SAW (Submerged Arc Welding): Efficient for thick plates (≥10 mm).
